AEC Associates Gather for 60th Anniversary Celebration

Paragould, Arkansas USA Allen Engineering Corporation (AEC) is a highly reputable and family-owned company specializing in high-quality, innovative equipment for concrete placement, finishing, polishing, and paving. We are thrilled to share that our 60th Anniversary Celebration was a success and that Governor Sarah Sanders has proclaimed April 17 “Allen Engineering Day” in Arkansas. This milestone event celebrated the company’s past, present, and future with tours of AEC headquarters, the 60th Anniversary video, and addresses from special guests from around the state.

AEC started in 1964 as a small concrete business in Arkansas. Over the years, AEC grew to have five plants in Northeast Arkansas, launched the Allen Razorback Truss Screed in 1977, and shifted its focus to design, manufacturing, and distribution of concrete equipment. In 2024, we celebrate our 60th anniversary with the slogan "60 Years of Concrete Innovation," which we believe represents our company's history and vision.

AEC held their 60th Anniversary Event on Wednesday, April 17 at the AEC Headquarters in Paragould, AR. The event began with tours of the facility where guests could witness the evolution and innovations of AEC as well as watch the 60th Anniversary video before continuing into the large tent for the main event. Beginning with a presentation of colors by Paragould High School's ROTC and a performance of the National Anthem by the Greene County Tech High School Chamber Singers, associates and guests were addressed by state and local dignitaries.

Allen Engineering’s Co-Founder and Chairwoman of the Board, Mary Ann Allen opened the program with a beautiful welcome that paid homage to her late husband and Co-Founder, J. Dewayne Allen, and the inspiring story of AEC’s roots. Paragould's County Judge Rusty McMillion and Mayor Josh Agee continued the program by sharing addresses on the pride of Paragould and the positive impact that long-standing, family-owned businesses like AEC have on a community. For our keynote addresses, Arkansas State University’s administration officials Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics, Jeff Purinton, and Chancellor Todd Shields delivered energetic speeches on AEC’s core values and contributions to the community. Allen Engineering’s CEO, Jay Allen, closed the program with a heartfelt thank you to all the speakers, guests, and associates who made this event such a celebration and his mother, Mary Ann Allen, for without her, AEC would not be where it is today.
